I found this cool new software called ICQ.
http://www.pclink.com/elf/icqsetup.exe
It monitors the web to see if others are online.
If they are they show up on your list and you
can then send live messages back and forth.
This would be useful if we wanted to schedule
a discussion for instance. Have you ever
wanted to do that? I have.
Anyway, the setup program can be downloaded
by clicking the above link or by going to the
Kids Corner and clicking on the little boy's
right heel.
Let me know what you think or if you think
you want to try it. I think it would be really
cool. So far I only have my son and my sister
on my list, but I think I will add all of you
so that if you join I will see you and can chat
with you about letterboxing.

I have ICQ. My UIN is 217123. It'll almost always show that I'm "away"
but I'm really not.

I have seen the ICQ in use on my friends' computers, and it really is cool for
a nearly real-time conversation. I'd download it in a second if I wasn't still
using university computers that don't let you put foreign programs on them.

Adrian (UK), Shannon (TX) and Thom (OR) have ICQ, but I've yet to have a chat
with any of them. The thing is you have to be online at the same time. If
enough people get this we could say, schedule a chat. Does that sound
interesting to anyone else out there?

Grrrrrrrr I'm anxiously awaiting the repair/rebuild/replacement of my "real"
computer so I'll have my own spot again... I don't want to d/l ICQ onto
hubby's laptop.... anyhow, can someone tell me how many time zones we're
talking about here? LOL It's all I can do to remember the 4 zones here in the
48......
among all the folks with the chat program installed, how far spread out are
you?
I occasionally get to visit one gal in the Netherlands; it's early afternoon
in Missouri and mid-evening (8 or 9pm?) over there.... That's not bad. This
will probably work out comfortably for everyone, or else we can have 2
different times designated, one leaning to the west and one leaning to the
east.... anyhow, I'm a chataholic, so when the puter is home, (another week or
2?) I will be joining the fun one way or another
:-D
Can't wait!!!

Actually, I don't believe that we can find a time that works with Adrian
- as you can see from the dates of his recent few posts, he is sending
them back from the future (one month ahead) - so Adrian, what can we
expect over the next 30 days, news-wise? (grin)
